For 2007, the Lexus SC 430 receives standard front knee airbags for driver and passenger. The Pebble Beach edition also returns for another year.
The SC 430 uses a 4.3-litre V8 with six-speed automatic transmission with manual mode. Its aluminum roof retracts at the touch of a button, and its climate control has an “auto” setting for top-down use, directing the air into two streams when the top is down and the outside temperature is cool.
Features include 18-inch alloy wheels with run-flat tires, stability and traction control, dual-zone automatic climate control, auto-tilt wheel with memory, ten-way power heated front seats, leather interior, Mark Levinson CD stereo with nine speakers, auto-dimming rearview mirror, maple or walnut woodgrain trim, illuminated scuff plates, water-repellent door glass, auto-dimming heated exterior mirrors, variable intermittent wipers, auto-levelling high intensity discharge headlamps with washers, fog lamps, and adaptive front lights.
The Pebble Beach model comes with unique 18-inch alloy wheels, Pebble Beach badges and floor mats, unique black birds-eye maple wood trim, and a leather luggage set.
The SC 430 is technically called a four-passenger, but in reality it should be considered a 2+2, as it’s very cramped in the rear seat. Still, you’ll want this all to yourself: the SC offers beautiful styling, quick acceleration, and a roof that protects from the elements and then opens up to let the sun shine in.
